Fear over function

Alright,
Back in the day i always dreamed of running around in a pure black loadout, with a loud, fast firing gun, striking fear into my enemies; and just to looking scary/intimidating. I would think you could use it to create a heck of a distraction for a sneaky flanking team.

then again, it would be easier to be found and harder to stay hidden etc.

thoughts?

I agree with Henry. I have a whole bunch of ACU stuff (Interceptor vest, pistol holster, etc.) that doesn't camouflage at all where we play, but I think it looks intimidating and pretty cool, so I wear it. Plus, carrying a lot of weapons helps with the effect. For instance, I have my M16 rifle, M9 pistol, M3 shotgun, and a bayonet. If you decide to set up a squad like this, I want in.

i think that the most intimidating thing is someone who can take out targets without being seen. either that or a sleeveless vest and an m249 charging down the center field

I have a sleeveless bulletproof vest...

i sometimes airsoft with no shirt i also paintball like that but i prefer airsoft

i think that by far the biggest problem with trying to cause fear, is that its not really scry to see someone wearing black. the scariest thing is having the guy standing 2 feet away from you start crying in pain, and you never even heard the shot

true, but that's more of a "hit the deck" fear.

i was thinking more of the fear created by warpaints (think the old scotish), battlecry's (zulu's) and big bold uniforms (red coated british). the enemy could see the scotts/zulu's/british coming and they were scared, its the reason people didn't wear camo back then (revolutionary war time). i dont know about you guys but i would not be able to fight 100% against a team who fights like that..... we'd still win though

i think in real life, you are afraid to lose your life and have it all be over. but in airsoft? i would run in front of a group of 12 people just for the fun of it.

This tactic works really well in my experience. Two of my enemies flanking from my 9 made me think there were 5 of them, and I rushed straight ahead into 4 people.

However, if you don't really get INTO the game and just acknowledge that it's just airsofting, this doesn't work so well.

I for one just ordered full black camo and a black helmet, and along with my nazi boots, well. yep.

haha ur one to talk, u wear acu and that's not camo either

ACU worked well in the winter. Blended in well with the snow. that we didnt have, and the overall darkness. ACU works better in darkness as well

it also works well on couches, as i have heard

it kinda starts to work good if you get a lot of mud on it

and when ur wearing acu, ur skin doesnt stand out from the rest of you, like it does with other camo
