Pyrotechnics
We all know them, we all love them. Enter the fantastic world of pyrotechnics! What's better than burning stuff? Burning stuff that does other stuff, of course! While searching the internets for ideas on how to integrate pyrotechnics into airsoft games, I came across this fantastic video channel.

It contains instructions on how to do all sorts of awesome, fire-related stuff. One video in particular caught my eye:

^ These are fantastic instructions on how to make the perfect smoke grenade. My brother used to make smoke grenades similar to these, and I can tell you, the smoke output volume is INSANE. (Every year my brother destroy our gingerbread house. This video is from about 3 years ago when we did it with a smoke bomb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpBwr5ob2y4
As you can see, his had a few flaws. Mainly, the bombs burned so hot that they could melt metal. The instructional video above has solved this problem. By simply adding baking soda, you can slow down the combustion speed, which then brings down the temperature. So, not only does it create even more smoke, it also burns slower so it spews smoke for longer, and its not going to catch anything on fire.
I think that I'm going to try and make a couple of these sometime next week, and see how they turn out. They look great for airsofting purposes, and could bring a whole new fresh twist to our games.
