overnight battle

hows about we get alot of people together and have an airsoft battle overnight, and we can have one person be the admin who takes peoples BB's at the begginning of the game and sells them back to them, or any other extra pieces of kit that they may have, then they buy them back with monopoly money that they get at the begginning as a ration. hows abouts that?

you'd have to get somepeople to agree to be the shop.

another idea, the teams can loot the shop for money, supplies, guns, w/e. BUT the shop keepers can fight back and if anyone saves them the shop could pay them or something.....

kinda like a traveling merchant, who can be looted for money

ooh, thatsa good idea! the merchant could have a backback or something , and he could lug that around full of bb's (that would have people's name's written in sharpies) and he would have reason not to just give out supplies cause he could pay his savors. everyone could just come back alive at thier campsite, and the trader could respawn in a corner of the field. that could be seriously ligitamate

yeah, and then hows about making there be 11 flags/briefcases/what evers in the field which can be hidden pretty darn well, each team has to get the most things by a set time (7:00-ish?) people respawn at pre-determined respawn points 15 mins after they die. people can also choose to wait for a medic but time spent waiting does not count towards your 15 min respawn

each team can also have a medic who "medics" people by applying a "bandage" (toilet paper etc...) to a person. if the person or the medic are hit whilst the medic is "medicing" both players are "out".

more bandages can be purchased at the shop.

yeah ERA did a 3 day overnight event just like this. if we ever do this im 100% in

sounds pretty good. i thnink the bandaids can be real bandades cause those things are hard to get out, we could buy a few boxes. i think instead of overnight though, we could start early in the morning and go until it gets dark because when its dark, cops come and combat is tricky. i'de rather not do it overnight

actullay, i was thinking of doing it at ians place, he has pleanty of land, power so you can pay for a recharged battery (in game), and NO COPS WILL BOTHER US ON PRIVATE LAND!

sweet henry could we like meet at the normal place and carpool or something on the way there cause nobody knows where that is, buy ya i would really prefer if we played there ya

I'm willing to be the shop-guy. I love simulation/scenario games, I've had 1 (more like 100) too many 5v5 capture the flag / deathmatch blah blah matches.

yeah, i think it would be cool to be him too. but hopefully we'll be able to do this more than once. am i allowed to have a gun as the shop guy? or do i use a pistol? and would the shop-guy be able to hire people to do his bidding?

i was thinking its the shop guy and his guard. both can be armed with anything, saws even...

hey, hes the guy with the supplies, he has to make enough money to buy anything.

i got a charger that can plug in a car and an out let like the side of the house and it can charge my 8.4v in like 10 min

sounds good. whoever has a car, bring it. does everyone like the idea of starting early and going late instead of overkinght though? cause its less fun in pitch-darkness, you cant see anything untill its close enough to bleed. also since we dont know the land well... that could be minorly problematic.... just saying....

i think that it would be good to test our rules at a day time war which is also at jakes field. that way we'll know what we're doing and yeah.

ok someone explain very clearly what the heck is this shop keeper game. it sound very complicated to me.

ok, each team starts the game with limited supplies, and a bunch of monopoly money

there is a shopkeeper/merchant/trader who will sell you stuff (bbs, gas, battery recharges, intel maybe) for monopoly money

you can kill/kidnap the trader for his stuff

the trader has a guard, or two

the trader is fully armed, his guard(s) too

the trader can not pick teams, although he may give price cuts to "favored clients",
ex: team A starts kill the the merchant a lot, the merchant will give team B a slight discount because they conduct good buisness in comparison to team A.



yeah, he just adds another element to the game

i don't like the sound of this, I am very sensitive when someone has my personal gear, even if i know them.

But if the team wants to play this then I can suck it up, its about the team after all but still, I won't like it

they dont have your gear, they have bbs, and gas, well.... maybe your battery if you get it charged, but you keep your gun/ mags

they dont have your personal geaR, they just have mabey one or two bags of your bb's, and they have your name on them

I understand now, thanks. But i have a feeling that these types of games would take a long time. but thats just me

it is meant to take a long time, for a realistic battle, because people respawn after 5 minutes, its meant to take forever. that way people are also careful with bb's because they have to pay for them, so it doesnt matter if you use high-caps or not
