WWII Loadout
okay im going to start working on a WWII loadout but i cant decide. Soviet Union loadout or American loadout? Soviet equipment and stuff is easier to find but rather expensive, but i cant even find a place that sells American. Another problem is the gun. I mean they dont make a Masin Nagant unless you get it customed and the new ppsh is expensive. However the thompson is easy to find but again the US uniform and coat and all the gear are hard to find. And if i do find them they'd prolly be real expensive. so any help would be highly appreciated on deciding and if you know of any place that sells WWII US gear let me know

Re: WWII Loadout
For Soviets you could always use a Thompson instead of the PPsh, what with the whole Lend Lease program and all. For either uniform, a simple OD jacket such as http://www.armynavydeals.com/asp/products_details.asp?SKU=MJKS6A&ST=2&Canadian%204%20Season%20Combat%20Jacket (<--- Please disregard scary model) will work. All you really have to do is chop off those pockets. OD pants that match will work fine as well. For Soviets, you'd need a belt with the Russian star on the buckle, a pilotka or Soviet-type helmet, and a pair of jackboots (http://www.by-the-sword.com/acatalog/German_Leather_Jackboots_Used_JACKBOOT-Uc.html) For Americans, you'd need an M-1 steel pot helmet, a full set of that web gear crap, and lace up boots. I'd honestly say that the Soviet stuff would be cheaper, considering the most expensive thing you'd need would be the boots. American M-1 helmets run for around $50 unless you can find a NATO one, but those are usually spray painted a lovely blue. Either way is a good choice, but if you've got a tight budget, I'd stick with Soviets. If you're feeling really ambitious you could go German, but that is a whole new ballgame.
