Re: Designated Marskmen
For sniper camoflauge, ive found that with my ghillie (found in natchez shooters supply) if you lean against a tree with your legs facing out, you can pretty much fade away. Henry stepped on top of me once when i was doing that. or if you curl up in a treewell
snipers
well its just me but i do ghillies the old fashon way. using a net and sage and brush from the area of the battle but thats just me, i'm original when it comes to sniping

Re: Designated Marskmen
i think that old style ghillies are great, but they can take ages, and those are good if you are standing next to an evergreen. but we dont really have those here, and there are lots of dead leafs though
Re: Designated Marskmen
well if you get good at making those it takes you about 30-45min to make. but behind safeway if you get cought sniping your only probably useing grass and leaves in your net, but on my feild you don't really need a suite because it is very dence.

Re: Designated Marskmen
i was looking at that right hook fabrication mantis sniper rifle and man, is that one hell of a gun. 8/10 shots at 100yds!!!! BEAST! its got a hefty price of 2000$ but i think that that kind of power is truly remarkable
really
just go out and buy a co2 pellet rifle and mod it to shoot airsoft bbs, i did and its so good i don't want to bring it to the games. i'd just camp there pickin off people. shoots a range of about 420ft, or just hella far and hella acurate.

Re: Designated Marskmen
what do you mean mod it? would you like put a new barrel in? it sounds like a very good idea though. ide be careful with that beast. if you could like give me soem simple instructions or something that would be great thanks. ive got 0.33 bb's so they could be pretty good or i could invest in some really heavy 0.40's or something crazy
yeah

yes you mod the berrel. most pellet guns have a removable inner barrel. make sure it is not a mag feeding gun tho. all you need to do is slip the berrel out, put the airsoft berrel in along with some spacers, put a rubber bucking in the breach atached to the inner berrel and there you go. there is so much force behind the bb that you don't need hopup. but i'll work on some better directions, when i did this i was going off my mind.

Re: Designated Marskmen
hmmmm...intersting. but, considering im crapworthy at modding guns, would you be willing to part with yours in exchange or a sum of cash?? (sell it to me)? and what type of gun did you start with? because i have an air rifle that is like a pull-back but its insanely heavy to pull, and it fires like one shot every 20 seconds cause you have to special-feed it into the gun
what?
one i wouldn't sell it, sorry!! no it is a bolt action CO2 rifle, only one shot, have to put bb in the breach after every shot. but you only need one shot because it is so acurate. it was a crosman co2 rifle, i don't know the full name. just go on there website and check it out, crosman.com

Re: Designated Marskmen
i hate to drop the hammer of the admin or cautious player here but would you really like to be on the receiving end of a gun which is designed to shoot lead pettels? the ammo for these are ment for pest control and hunting (taken from the same website) also, the field is gonna probably adopt the 600 fps limit on snipers, with a .2 bb

Re: Designated Marskmen
henry, were just talking. and these guns are meant for target shooting, and pest controll, not really airsoft. but if it was possible to turn down the fps, it would be unmatched in accuracy and range

and when i took mine apart i didn't find anything to adjust th velosity.
now i wouldn't use it in airsoft. the only reason i made mine is just to show off and to have fun.
but anyways i'm tired of talking about this now. lets move on

Re: Designated Marskmen
OK, if anyone is looking for a sniper's rifle, Might i reccomend the JG BAR-10?
i bought this gun with a precision barrel and tons of internals, but when i took it out to see if it worked before i upgraded it, i was.....suprised...
i pulled the bolt and remarked at how easy and smooth it was.
i was firing at 75eet with a scope that had not even been sighting in, and i hit 20 shots on the box out of 20 shots.
i also tried a "speed fire" test where i hit one shot then timed how long it took until i hit another, i worked off 2 hitting shots in just under 2 seconds...true aceidge
mind you, this was not a large box, about 1 foot by half a foot, and i was drilling hits at a range many guns could struggle to hit something that size!!!!!!
i will upload a picture to the forum once i learn how to operate what you may call a "computer"
**UPDATE** I installed the barrel, and i was very expensive, and it improved the accuracy by about %25, but i plan on installing a new spring, probably about 450fps, and with that a metal spring guide. ask me if you have any questions about this gun, i can help if you have a question

Re: Designated Marskmen
yeah.. loved sniping. must say in airsoft sniping has to be all about having a crazy good sniper, or be amazing at camo. that seems to be the way it works. regular snipers dont get much done
